"Great food! Great people! Typical New Providence!"
-- Mayor Al Morgan

The Prestige Diner offers a quaint and
old-fashioned dining experience. The restaurant features a stone and
wood facade with a gabled roof. The interior offers classic diner
charm with spacious tables and cozy booths throughout the dining
area. There is an incredibly extensive menu of more than 200
options. Diners can select from breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees,
including sandwiches, salads, and an assortment of beef, chicken and
seafood options. The Prestige Diner is economically priced and
family friendly. Hours vary seasonally.

Guest, Monday, September 07, 2009 - JudysBook.com
This has to be one of the best, if not THE best diner in NJ. I know
that sounds extreme, but check it out for yourself. You will agree
that the food and service are a cut above most of the local and
highway diners you'll encounter. No kidding.

- “Family Reunion”
Guest, Monday, August 17, 2009 - JudysBook.com
Last September I met up with a family member that I had not seen
in about 8 years @ the Prestige for lunch. I arrived first and went
inside and explained to the hostess that I was meeting up with a
relative I had not seen in a while and we were going to be "catching
up". I explained to her that I wanted to cover the cost of the bill
and to have the least amount of interruption as possible. She
allowed me to give her $ to "pay in advance" and kindly gave us a
cozy corner booth. The staff at The Prestige made my "reunion"
wonderful and very memorable. This September, we are planning
another "reunion lunch" and I look forward to the same great service
I received last year! Thank you Prestige!!

This has to be the best diner I have ever been to! First, the
place itself is extremely clean and inviting. All of the workers
were so friendly and professional--which is such a rarity for a
diner. Most diners that I've ever been to are staffed with
miserable beasts that can't spare you the time of day. And though I
have no children, I liked that they had toys for children there
(CLEAN ones), and all of the placemats were for kids. Our waitress
was extremely friendly and she arrived quickly to greet us. She had
our drinks within 30 seconds! The prices are great,
too--especially for the area. For $7.95, I got one of the lunch
specials that came with a soup (they had 3 types!), coffee (or soda
for $1 extra), and a dessert (rice pudding, jello or one other). I
ordered the Mexican Salad. It was HUGE. Came in a fresh tortilla
shell and was comprised of romaine, fresh avocado, bacon, cheese,
corn , and beans. I had to take it home. The New England Clam
Chowder was yummy and fresh. My co-workers got the pancakes. They
were TERRIFIC. Moist and delectable. The rice pudding was also
sweet and delicious. Can't wait to go back! My only complaint is
that the parking lot is not large enough.

A major renovation was just finished complete with fireplace and
flat screen TVs. The menu has been revamped and is a huge
improvement! New Providence is fortunate to have restaurant owners
that really care about the community and their customers. Everyone
seems to be smiling here. Oh... The food is great!

- “Reunion a success at the Prestige”
Guest, Monday, May 04, 2009 - JudysBook.com
Just want to say a big Thank you! to the Prestige for
accommodating our group without any prior notice. My friends and
family had an informal reunion this past Sunday May 3rd. We had all
been past New Providence residents from 1965 to 1994. The service
was excellent, friendly, and professional. The food was great and
price reasonable. They even let us hold the seats in case some of
our group came late. All this on a crowded Sunday! We would like to
meet here next time. Sincerely, Paul D. Tedeschi Alpha, New Jersey

Prestige Diner & Restaurant The Prestige diner not
only has outstanding service, but also has a semi-gourmet menu that
surpasses all diner expectations. When I eat there, I always feel
like I'm eating at a high class meal for a low cost price. I highly
recommend this diner to anyone who is looking for a fabulous meal.

We've been going to this great NJ diner for more than 20 years.
They've watched our family grow up and always greet us with a warm
welcome. Besides the food what else can you ask for?

Prestige Diner & Restaurant My wife and I love this
diner. We happened upon it one morning and have been going back at
least one a week since. The coffee is great and they are very
diligent about refilling your cup when it goes below 1/2 full. I
recommend the egg white omelet with spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms,
but all the breakfasts are good. The other great thing about this
diner is the view of the church across the street. It is a beautiful
pre-war gleaming white building with a rolling grass hill in front
of it. I don't really go to church anymore, but if I did this would
be the one I would go to. Try this diner for breakfast and sit by
the window, you'll love it!

Best pancakes in NJ: They have great food overall but my
personal favorite is the breakfast menu, especially the
pancakes...yummy! Very friendly (and cute) staff, they'd do anything
to please your tastebuds.
